I have experienced that Nedbank Pers loans submit the debit order randomly during the month whenever they decide, ignoring the date of the debit order I signed for several times. I discovered this morning that my debit order went off on 2 Jan and again on 15 Jan 2014 and I called them. The person told me that my debit order for Sept 2013 didn't go off therefore they took a double payment now (4 months later, in the middle of Jan!). She said the Nedb Pers loans phoned me in Dec 2013 and informed me of the situation. I strongly disagree. In the last few months they called me every single month. I specifically asked them why they are calling me because I could never get the reason for the call. They always started the conversation with, "thank you for your payment on..." and then continued checking my details for possible changes, and never did they tell me I was in arrears! Now they claim they informed me of the arrears amount and they decided to take my money in the most difficult month of the year, without an arrangement! We are always told that our conversations are recorded. Nedbank should listen to those recordings, correct their mistake and reverse the payment until end Jan.
