Standard Bank
No response / Unresolved claim

Business & Finance

My husband logged a claim with Freddy at Standard Bank Insurance Services on 9 December with regards to leaks that appeared in our roof after heavy storms. He was advised that an assessor would contact him to arrange to assess the damage.
I received an email from SB on the 9th confirming the claim number and a clearance authority number. This was the last we heard from anybody at SB. To date we have had no further correspondence or follow up from them and in the mean time we're still sitting with leaks. My husband has tried phoning them 4 times already and 3 out of those 4 times he held for about 10 minutes when the call was dropped. Today he managed to stay on the line for 20 minutes at which time the call was answered and he had to provide the claim details again, after having punched it in as prompted when the lady 'assisting' him put him on hold and promptly dropped the call.
What do we have to do to get SB to take our claim seriously and to make an effort to get it resolved. Why am I paying a premium every month when you are just not interested?
