Apalling service feedback for insurance claim laid

Last year I contacted Nedbank insurance & laid a claim for storm damage to the roof and was provided with claim reference number. I spoke to a call centre agent who sent me a claim form to complete. An assessor was appointed & came to inspect the premises upon which he climbed on the roof walked around and moved a few tiles around. He had a discussion with me indicating that nothing was wrong & that no further action needed to be taken. He apparently confirmed this in his report to Nedbank but we never received such report nor any correspondence hereto. Another claim was recently laid in respect of leaking roof as a result of the previous damage. An assessor was appointed & again came to the premises but this time said the claim would be rejected due to our non maintenance of the roof which we disagree with. We have now waited a total of 6 weeks (through numerous storms) & have to date still heard nothing from Nedbank, despite complaining directly to them. I find it appalling that they are more than happy to take your money in regard to your premiums every month but that you have to provide nothing short of a DNA test to get what you are entitled to when it comes to laying a claim!
