On 15 Dec I received a sms from Nedbank's Dept, saying my card was blocked due to possible activity. I immediately phoned, confirming my card should be blocked as I had it with me and didn't transact, also that I didn't receive sms alerts (which is worrying, as only the bank/myself can stop those?)

I went to my branch later that day and was told to come back the next week, which I did on Tues 17 Dec (bank was closed 16th). I phoned Dept again, notifying them I have done all the paperwork and that an employee at the branch faxed it. They told me an investigation takes 4-6 weeks. Both myself and the employee phoned AGAIN begging them to make me a priority case as all my savings for January was.

I have since phoned but keep getting told THEY will phone me. My branch promised to phone this Monday on my behalf and let me know of progress/info, which also didn't happen. It has now been more than 4 weeks and I'm desperate to get my money back.

Banks are supposed to keep their clients' money safe - and if something out of their control happens and it's not the client's fault, their insurance should reimburse the client. Please help.
