How real is 72hours

On the 07/01/2014 my policy was cancelled due to the gridy advicer. On the 08/01/2014 I was told I will receive my refund within 72 hours. Yesterday the 13/01/2014 I called for follow up I was still told I will receive my refund within 72 hours. I am now wondering if are we playing a 72 hours game with my money? This is now frustrating as I have to pay another insurance policy with my money where as Miway don't want to refund me. Bad service.
