Standard Bank is a POOR excuse for a bank

I check my bank balance daily, and when I checked my account and i had over sufficient funds available. But this morning when I checked i had almost nothing left. When i checked my statement i saw that a lot of card purchases done in December only came off last night, which i could not understand as everytime i made a purchase I got an sms confirming the purchase amount and deduction from from account balance. I called the customer service and all they could do is just confirm what I already knew and nothing else. I also went into the bank branch in N1 city and the women at enquiries, confirmed that they had system issues which resulted in the deductions only happening last night. So why do they send you a sms confirming the purchase if in actual fact nothing has been deducted. They also don't provisionally pend funds so that you don't use funds you don't actually have, which results in you going into a negative AND THEY THEN CHARGING YOU A PENALTY FEE. No one from their customer services or bank branch offered any real assistance as I'm sure I'm not they only client that has experienced this. Im done with Standard bank and their poor service and systems, I will be moving to FNB!
