Discovery Card
Early Payments now recognised

In December i made payment in advance on my Discovery credit card as we were going on holiday. When we return to work in January, i am notified by Discovery that the December payment is overdue and was charged a Late Payment fee. On calling Discovery i am told that the early payment is seen as a deposit and not a payment (is there a difference?), and that the "deposit" i made in December cannot be reallocated as a payment, therefore the December payment is still overdue. This is the most bizarre accoun ting practice i have come across and furthermore staff at discovery are unable to do anything about, when i asked to speak to a manager, i was refused and was referred to the their terms and conditions. THIS IS EXTORTION, and i hope that Discovery die a horrible death and it's useless employess are left jobless!

Just imagine how Discovery earn from charging millions of thier clients a R210 late payment fee that is not justified?

I have now cut my discovery card up and will pay that account up as soon as possible.
