Late P/ment fee charged for EARLY payment in Dec

In December 2012, I was paid early by my employer (14 December as opposed to the normal 25th of the month). As i normally do, I settled my Discovery credit card in full on the 14th December.
On the 18 January my card was debited with a late payment fee of R210? Keeping in mind that I get paid on the 25th of every month, other than in December. When I waspaid on the 25th Jan, i again settled the card in full. When I called into the Discovery card centre to query the R210 debit, I was advised that because I settled the card early in December, it had automatically adjusted my payment date to early in January??? and as I had not made the payment (as I myself had not been paid yet) my card was debited. Tracey at the call centre logged a query to reverse the R210, which I was advised would anly happen if I signed a debit order! Which I amnot prepared to do as I always settle in full every month! I think it is disgusting that a good payer like myself has been penalised for paying early and quite frankly a system that expects payment before moth end is just plain stupid. I am not happy with the level of "service: " and am out of pocket R210 for paying early! Disgusting Discovery!
