Credit card approved then denied

I applied for a credit card by phoning customer services and the branch and they said I qualified for R4000 but when I went to the New Germany brach they said I only qualified for a loan of R5000. Even when I apply online, it says I qualify for a credit card. I provide the same information online and at the branch so why conflicting stories? It is time wasting and very frustrating. I would really appreciate it if you could look into this for me. I would really like a credit card. Thank you
