I called Miway today after receiving a better quote from a different insurance provider, with the intention of finding out if they could match or beat this quote. I explained all this to the lady that picked up and she asked me to hold. I then got transferred to a guy who said asked how he could help and I asked if he had been filled in. He then asked me to hold and 5 minutes later he asks me to confirm what I've told the previous lady in a tone that suggested that he didn't believe me. He then, without checking, tells me they will not be able to match it. So I ask him to cancel my policy on the 31st of December and he tells me about the 30 day policy - fair enough. I ask him to cancel on the 31st of January and realising that I'm serious he tells me that he's not pleased and I should be smart and not compare them with other insurance providers (all of this in a very combative tone). I tried to explain that consumers have the responsibility to compare but he continued to speak over me. I then told him I would not speak to him if he insisted on being rude. He did not apologise in any way. Only when I asked for his name did he calm down. I've been with Miwaynfor 2 years and now this?
