We called ABSA insurance to log a claim as there appeared to be a leaking pipe in our shower. They told us to choose from one of the suppliers listed online to find a plumber to assess the damage. The plumber came and submitted his report to them. This was not accepted and they sent a different plumber to the house to do additional leak detection. We then heard no feedback despite multiple emails requesting assistance. Finally we attempted to call the call centre and the consultant told us that the claim is not accepted as there is no leaking pipe detected but that a building claim can be submitted to fix the damp. It was requested that he send this through in writing and he took our email addresses. Since then another week and a half has passed and no communication. Again this morning i tried to call the call centre as i am not willing to just choose a builder off the list as this was not acceptable with the plumber and quite frankly i am tired of having multiple strangers in the house every other day. Well after spending over a half hour on hold the line was picked up and then cut off! Over a month later and the damage is getting worse with no help from ABSA
