4 months later and insurance claim not settled

I submitted a claim for a leak in my bathroom in Feb 2013. We are now in July and the issue is still not resolved. During this saga I have had very little to no feedback from Absa, I am left to make contact and follow up with the bank and service providers. 2 different plumbers and 2 sets of Absa representatives came to assess and both identified different areas where the leak is supposed to be. Eventually a part of the shower was chopped open and a small section of pipe replaced, needless to say, the leak was still not fixed. We were then told that the shower base is the cause and must be repaired at my own cost. Months later the plumber arrived to to replace the shower base, halfway through this exercise he stopped working, apologised and said that the base is not the problem. Subsequently no plumber, builder or any representative has been there to continue the repair work and fix what was never broken in the first place. With each visit from plumbers/builders we are asked to pay excess of R500 although they not FIXING the problem. I escalated the issue to senior management and haven't heard from them since. Its winter, I have no flooring and no bathroom. PATHETIC SERVICE!!!
