Why is Dial Direct putting 15 incident against my name?? I have been a dial direct customer since 1 Dec 2010 . This cover included my cars as well as my home contents in which I specified certain items. The reason for me contacting the Ombudsman is as follows: Dial Direct "punished" me because I cancelled my car insurance with them recently. How? By them cancelling my home contents insurance with them just a week after I voluntarily removed my car insurance from them - only then had "suddenly" become a high risk client - never mentioned to me before. Dial Direct has also ensured that I can now not get home contents cover anywhere else as I am black marked as a high risk client - claims over the past 3 years -claims that were actually paid out vs the claims they have put on the system against my name - apparently even if I phoned in and made an enquiry on whether I could claim for something but did not do anything further... and got no benefit but carried the loss on my own (like the time my daughter stepped on my laptop screen) they count it as an "incident" against my name - I was never informed that it works like this and I am now exposed to certain loss!
