My roof was badly damaged on the hailstorm of November 28. I registered the next morning a claim online.(getting through to Absa Insurance is impossible still now). Even if you do get through you are just being placed on hold again. As I'm phoning from a cell number having to hold for an hour or more can be quite expensive. I got a quote for the damages but nobody can tell me where to fax it through nobody either phone me back. I've just spoken now to Zama who once again put me on hold. Absolutely getting nowhere. Absa you are a financial institution please start to act like one. I had to register the claim three times because the system could not pick up the previous claim registered. First on line for which I have proof. The second telephonically to Betsy who told me I would get a sms notifying me of my claim but after phoning in to get an update on the claim only to be told they could once again not pick it up on the system and need to register it again. Finally after the third attempt I received an SMS with my claim no. But now to get any further is a mission for which I do not have the strenght. I think after 20 years the time has come to switch.
