NEDBANK INSURANCE: INCOMPETENCE WITH CLAIM

Hail damage to my property was reported on 12 November. Since them, Nedbank Insurance has been the most incompetent bunch ever dealt with.

After immediately getting a sms with claim number, this was the last time anyone made contact with me. I had to phone numerous times, nobody answers in call centre for up to 30 minutes, no feedback etc.

I had to arrange with assessor myself for visit to house. He is from an independent company. After getting his assessment, I was asked to email Nedbank claims with my bank details on 25 November 2013.

For more than two weeks no response, phones not answered and no reply to my emails. I again phoned 9 December - only to hear that the claim has not been processed.

I see Nedbank's main response on Hello Peter: "sorry, will come back to you" - probably with no response again.

Psakane at claims not very helpful, never phoned back, so did Clint who I phoned originally.

Cathy Huckfild, the apparent claims supervisor/manager never answers her phone. Despite various messages she never phoned back.

I am used to Outsurance service for short term insurance and will surely (if receiving any compensation at all) move to them ASAP.
