Collect money illegal

I owed Nedbank money back in 1999/2000 for unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I couldn't pay them. And was eventually sequestrated Now 13 years later they have a debt collector trying to collect the same debt which has prescribed by South African Law and a court order ruled me sequestrated in 2000
I send them a mail with proof of the government cassette - but a Olivia keeps on insisting on a final order -that I don't have -even when I showed him upon the fact -if he does not want to believe me that I was sequestrated - the debt has prescribed by south African law - he still insist on proof

How can any bank try to collect money this illegal?
