My husband was sequestrated in 2002. In 2006/07 MBD started phoning him constantly about an Standard Bank Account (which was written off due to the fact that he was sequestrated and that debt was made before date of sequestration so he cannot be held responsible for that debt). If that debt was made after date of Sequestration he would have had to pay MBD the money. It was made an Order of the Court. MBD bought this debt from SB. We have addressed letters to MBD and also emailed the relevant sequest documentation to them regarding the sequestration. They still continued phoning him. My husband asked them to please send him the documentation from SB so that he could have a look at it. We have sent them 2 letters (expl. this to them as well as req. refund) which we have not had a courtesy of a response from them. My husband just stopped paying them. Now we are requesting a refund from them but they are just ignoring our letters. My husband also asked them to please summons him to court and they said that MBD does not summons people? So when will they be paying back his money that he was paying off for the last 6/7 years??? They also just keep adding interest to amount owed
