As a very loyal FNB customer I was really upset this week.

I've just had a nasty experience this week with a debit order that was taken from my account without my consent for it to go off. There are artists out there who are taking our hard earned money by creating these debit orders without our consent! The artist in question here, in my case, being Personalised Systems 074 521 5519. When number is dialled, the call is cut! I've NEVER had dealings with these people! Seems I'm not the only one! (I have done some research on the Internet.) I often get these stupid sms advertisements saying OPT out by replying stop. I also receive telesales calls. I ignore them and don't even respond. However it seems they take my money anyway? I was debited with an amount of R399.99.

I went to FNB Galleria in Amanzimtoti to have this debit order reversed as it was not a debit order I had authorised. Was told they can reverse it but at a charge! Why should I pay for something that was not my fault? The bank is therefore making money off my misfortune? Surely that is as well? How can we as consumers protect ourselves?

Is FNB going to come up with a plan to protect its customers???
