Hi there.

It is with great disappointment that I inform you of the way I have been let down by Ebucks Travel!

I enquired about renting a car from PE to Plettenberg Bay. The problem comes with the Ebucks booking system. It does not allow one to add a destination when hiring a car.

After enquiring about this I was told to make the booking and once the booking was made, we can arrange to change the destination at a fee.

I made the booking with EuropCar through the Ebucks system for a total of R280. The agent then informed me that a drop off fee of R850 will be levied.

Now imagine my disbelief/disgust/anger at this information! I was willing to pay the same amount to hire the car, not 3 times the rent!

To cancel this I have to pay Ebucks R114! It is very sad that this was not communicated to me beforehand and that the option to select a destination was not available before making the booking.

Overall the service was excellent, but what a pity! I will not pay R280 plus R875 plus Fuel and Insurance for a 230 km trip. That was what my aeroplane ticket cost!
