First National Bank
Temporary Loan rip-off

Business & Finance

I took out a temporary loan on 28-01-2013 for R8000. The terms were that it would have to be repaid within 31 days with an admin fee of R890. On the 29-01-2013 I deposited R5000 into my account in order to have enough to pay for my cars tyres. on the same day, there was a debit of R5000 on my account as repayment on the temporary loan. I called the call centre and they went on about the terms that any deposit into my account would be repayment. Does it make sense to anyone to take up a loan today and pay it tomorrow? and then on top of that I have to pay R890 fro the loan I cannot use! This is a rip-off and my husband was considering switching to this bank but not anymore.
