On 1/11/2013 I had my card by a gentleman dressed as a Standard Bank security card, who offered to help at an ATM which appeared not to be working. He had manipulated the ATM, so that when I typed my PIN in, it appeared on the ATM screen. He had disappeared when I realised what had occurred. I called the 'stop card' number from the ATM immediately, and stopped my card. Minutes later R4600.00 was withdrawn from my account.
I reported the immediately. 2 weeks later I had a call from a consultant advising that my claim had been rejected, as my card had only been stopped on the 2nd - the day after the incident. I asked for a review of the case, and forwarded my cell phone itemized billing to the bank to prove I had made the call to stop my card.
I have heard nothing since! I have e-mailed a complaint to the Customer Relations Centre, but I have had no response from them either.
Absolutely disgusting service!
