On the 08/12/2013 I went to the Standard Bank ATM in Brixton to withdraw money. After entering my pin on the machine the card did not want to come out again. I went home and phoned the Standard Bank Call centre in order for them to stop the card. The following reference number was provided :1221031434 and the person I spoke to ensured me that the card has been stopped. On the 12/12/2013 I went into the Brixton branch to collect my new card and was advised that withdrawals have been made from my bank account and told them that I have phoned to stop the card. I then asked them again to stop the card.

So after I have stopped my card, Standard bank still allowed money to be withdrawn from my account on the following dates:

09/12/2013
12/12/2013
13/12/2013

I went to the Fords burg branch on the 14/12/2013 and was advised that they will only be able to assist on Tuesday the 17/12/2013.

I find this service to be the worst that I have ever experienced. It is festive season and I have to be without money due to incompetent staff.

If this matter does not get resolved I will approach Die Beeld newspaper to make sure that everyone knows how pathetic the service at Standard Bank
