My Discovery Life Intergrator payback was due in June 2013. Received an email to advise me that it is due. Had no further communication until I received an sms on 10 Oct to say that I need to contact Discovery, which I think is a cheek as they have all my details. I was told that they cannot pay the amount due to me as I am only a signatory and dual card holder on my husband's account (from where the premium is deducted) and that I need my own bank account for them to make the payment. I was told that it is against their policy to pay anyone else but the policyholder into an account belonging to the policyholder. I then went to Capitec bank to open an account so that Discovery can pay the amount due. I sent them the Capitec bank details and they confirmed receipt of my new bank account details. I received confirmation from Discovery on 15 Nov that the amount was successfully released and will reflect in my bank account in 4 days. I checked my bank account today - no money was paid. Contacted the call centre just to be told that the money was paid on the 15th into my husband's account!! How is that for sticking to your policy and giving the client the run-around. I am speechless!
