Defemation of caracter and slande

I was in a car accident and my car was written off by the insurance. My husband went and picked out a car for me, and all Banks declined our application due to "accounts in arrears/no payment" and we were handed over and my husbands name blacklisted on ITC. We have NEVER dealt with this bank, NO accounts with this bank, NEVER set foot in ANY of their branches! This is deffamation of character and slander against our name. We can't purchase a car because we are blacklisted with this "Bank". I am going to take legal action against them if our name is not cleared within 24 hours!!!
