Complimed/Ambledown - no feedback on claims!

I submitted a claim to Complimed on the 8th of November (not knowing that they are not administering the Gap cover product anymore). On the 14th I followed up after I got no response and was told to send the claim to Ambledown who are now processing the claims on the 15th. I then sent it to Ambledown on the 18th. NO RESPONSE! I sent an email again on the 19th and was told they finally received the claim. I had to call in again this morning after no feedback on what is happening to the claim and the guy went in search for the claim (to see whether they got it :-/) and finally came back to say yes they got it and will be sending it through to their underwriters. So the question is do I have to call everyday to check that they actually now attend to it and it does not go sit in some x file again? It is very frustrating when you pay for something and the day you need the cover everyone disappears or are too busy to handle your claim. All I need is feedback which I am sure is not too much to ask.
