Over the last 6 months standard bank has repeatedly phoned me to inform me that my account is in arrears of - R1200. This is incorrect and a system error. Every time if have to explain to whomever is calling to check my account and then they realize the error, apologizes and say they will make a note on the system. Last month when this happened again I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager, I wasn't allowed and was told I needed to phone customer care centre and they told me to phone the legal department and I was promised that this will be sorted out. On Thursday I received another call and was yet again told that I had 2days to pay or I will be handed over! I insisted on speaking to a manager and was told they were in a meeting but would call me that day. They never did. Lucky me received ANOTHER call Saturday morning! This time I was told to go into the branch as the consultant could not solve the problem. Please note I could not get any reference numbers for all these calls, even though it is recorded.? Can someone please tell me how to solve this problem? Does standard bank think its fun to be threatened every month over something that is an error and their mistake?
