HOC claim that is taking ages to resolve

I logged a claim on the 21st of October relating to hail and storm damages to my house that is insured with SA Homeloans, to date i've been getting feedback only if i pick up the phone or email my concerns to them. The manner in which my claim is being dealt with is pethetic and makes me wonder in a worse case scenario will i get some assisstance from my insurer. It;s well and good for a company to receive their proceeds from clients and when is delivery time, you get taken from pillar to post with people that have to sense of urgency and does not even empathise with the client. I even logged a formal complaint internally and have not received a reference number for my complaint and that's not even allowed as per FSP rules, client must be given reference numbers for their complaints, which tells me it was not even logged on their systems and should i need to refer the matter to Ombuds will most definetly need the ref number. I'm really disappointed with the level of service being offered and surely would refer any of my friends/family to SA homeloans.
