I have never had an experience with an insurance company like I have had with Hollard, and I have been insured for the last 20 years.

I placed a claim on 24 October 2013 with Hollard, regarding goods being from my vehicle due to remote jamming. I was contacted by their investigators to provide proof of ownership of the items, which I did.

I then was told by the investigators to get a copy of the police statement from the police station. The station commander was so angry that he contacted them to inform them that they should not waste the customers time and that this is the responsibility of the investigator.

It is now 19 November 2013, almost 1 month since I lodged the claim. I phoned Hollard to be told that the claim had been repudiated. Take note - I phoned them!!

If they knew that I was not going to have success with the claim, why did they send me on a wild goose chase and waste my time to get all the documentation and police statements!!!

What a waste of time and money - thank you Hollard - I now feel more informed as I search for a better insurance company.
