Claim after Policy Holder passed away

My husband was the Policy Holder on our policy and he sadly passed away on 28 October 2013. During the week after he died everything was so hectic. Then we had a thunderstorm and our house was strucked by lightning which caused my computer to break. The day of his memorial service I took our video camera to the church and it fell on the road as I got out of the car and it was damaged. The week after this I realized we had insurance on this and phoned Outsurance. I was worried about the implications of this due to the fact that the policy holder died.
