I took out a policy with hollard in February for my parents and later another one for my uncle. I'm the payer and policy holder. my mom died unexpectedly in July of a stroke and upon calling them they said i cant claim because of the 12 month waiting period which was fine with me. they sent me a claim which i didn't bother filling in as i was told i can only claim the premiums back. later i called again and the lady then said no i do have a claim and she will send me the forms. i filled it in and sent all the documentation. I'm still waiting and called them again today to find out whats the hold up. they told me that i am not the policy holder and my dad is the claimant, that's my first complaint. secondly when i took the policy out the premiums were not R30 for my mom but now that she is passed and they need to pay me the premiums it suddenly is R30 and, y dad is all of a sudden R143! they have not called me to let me know anything I'm calling them all the time. they are so unhelpful and just making this grieving process harder then what it already is! i called now and they gave me so much grief! on demand to speak to their supervisor he/she who was vuyo was not available!
