Credit card transactions duplicated

Over the last month and a half i've had 5 transactions duplicated several days later, each time i call i get told the same thing that the merchant is processing the transaction twice. I then get told that i have to phone the merchant to have them reverse it where the merchant refuses telling me they've only processed the transaction once. There is a problem but Absa just don't seem to care and want to make it anyone other than their own responsibility
