5 months ago i agreed to a credit card. upon retrieval, card could not be given to me as i didnt have proof of address. a 2nd time, to hand in forms stating i lived with parents. Again could not retrieve the card, as the form had tipex. told consultant at the bank to cancel card as i didnt want it anymore. now 5 months later, i applied for vehicle finance & cant get finance due to a STD Bank judgement on my record. After calling the call centre since Friday 25.01.2013, each time a different consultant has provided not only different information, but falsified information. some even admitted to the fault being that of STD Bank, & that they would have the charges reversed immediately. agent i spoke to yesterday (29.01.2013) stated that the charges were reversed & i should receive the letter within 24 hours. this morning (30.01.2013), i spoke to another agent who had advised that the charges were not reversed - & i owe a sum of R350 approximately. i irately burst, & she terminated the call. i called back a minute later & demanded to speak to a manager, (Jackie), who has also said she will take the matter to admin. i still await the letter stating charges reversed & account closed.
