My motorbike sustained accident damage on 29 May 2013. Repair quote R50 489.75. New National offered me R2 814.03!!! Currently with ombudsman. No claim paid out as of today 5 November 2013!
New National says that my accident damage is mechanical wear (which is conveniently not covered in my policy!) and uses fine print to classify real accident damage as mechanical damage and refuses to pay REAL ACCIDENT damage!
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH NEW NATIONAL! If I was insured with a reputable company my claim would have been paid in full without any schemes to find excuses and loopholes not to pay my claim. People are attracted to New National ONLY because of their lower premiums. The real problems arise when you suffer a loss and they look at EVERY excuse not to pay out legitimate claims, with the hope that the customer will eventually back down...
This company should be exposed on Carte Blanche for the that it is in order to save people their hard earned money spent on insurance premiums that provide no peace of mind when it comes to legitimate claims. PEOPLE, PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS AND WARN EVERYBODY THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT NEW NATIONAL!!!
