Worst Process ever to close an account

ABSA bank - I had a credit card with and closed that account -

I received a confirmation email from you "RE: writeoff closure letter" in August stating the account reflects a nil balance and the account is closed -

to this date I am receiving a monthly statement reflecting a payable amount which is increasing due to a monthly charge -

after spending another 20 mins on the phone with your pathetic collections dept - i have no luck (bearing in mind that NOW I need to pay for the call as well)

1) please can you explain to me HOW can you close an account and still be billing me for an account I cant use
2) WHY SHOULD THIS NOW BECOME MY PROBLEM - CAUSE YOU ARE COSTING ME MONEY & TIME TO CLOSE THAT ALREADY CLOSED ACCOUNT

I AM ALSO SENDING THIS COMPLAINT TO THE NCR
