Switch Banks Before you Get Taken As Well

I received an sms today informing me that R900.00 had been taken from my account for money i owed on my nedbank credit card... I wasnt even aware that money was owed and Nedbank Just decides to take money out of my Savings account.. I have a wife and three year old child and havent even purchased groceries for this month.. How can they just dip into your accounts as they see fit... can they not phone you and arrange a payment as everybody else has to or because they have access to your account can they just dip inot it whenever they see fit and take your money... I thought that people were protected by the credit act that prevented people being able to just take money that you dont actually have!! I am so sick of nedbanks high charges, useless service and now just taking money out of my account without so much as a warning... Obviously they just take it before you have a chance to draw it cause then theyd have to follow the same legal route as everybody else... im disgusted and will be closing my account and getting encouraging anybody else who has an account with nedabk to do the same... pathetic
