Money taken without arrangements being made

An amount of R1986.25 was deducted of my account at 4pm on the 06/02/2013, i only recieved a sms from nedbank reads as follow at 8h43 am of the 07/02/13 9
(This serves as notification that your nedbank current account will be debited for R1786.25 as payment towards your nedbank credit card. Please contact nedbank on 0861001173 .
I cant see how i could have made arrangements to pay this if they have taken the money before notifying me???
I have been on the phone phone with 20 diff people today and no one can tell me why i was not contacted first.
I cant believe that people can just take money off your account without making arrangements, Maybe i should just move my account to a bank which cares!!!
