Two claims, in June 2012 and February 2013, dealing dealing directly with the service provider (no broker) and these claims went so smoothly; no hustles like I hear from many of my friends and colleagues who are with other insurance companies. My first incident was outside the borders and the second one in-country but on both occasions, I didn't feel encounter major problems with claiming yet I always hear others complaining about their insurance companies giving them a hard time and offer little to no assistance especially when they had accidents outside the borders. I was advised of my options and limits, amounts that were actually reimbursed on my return to SA. Even with these claims, my premium has not been raised, which is how insurance should function. Sometimes when such adverse events befall us and we get this kind of hand, we forget to show appreciation. I just wanted to say, "Many Thanks" to Santam for being there for me and a hustle free claim process.

Just a small hiccup on my second claim: JL Fischer did not involve me on assessment and did not approve certain damages due to the accident, which were paid for after I raised it with management. Area of improvement!
