I was in an accident whereby the guy who does into me admitted that it was his fault. We followed all procedures that outsurance wanted and they sent us for the assessment. After calling the to ask when they will pay for damages they said they decided that they not going to as the accident was our fault even if their client drove into us from behind. The claims agent also admitted that they didn't need to look at the police report to make the decision. Then the claims agent said that the client changed his statement. We then called up the clients police report and this was not the case as his statement remained the same. After confronting the claims agent they said that it doesn't matter what the client says and that they don't need police reports to make a decision on claims. This I believe is not good business practice. Also after talking to outsurance they were not even aware that there was a second car in the accident as a witness statement was also on the same accident report. Now outsurance is saying that we need to provide the accident report at our own cost to they and they might reconsider.
