HAD A GARAGE CARD WITH STD BANK. DECIDED TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER BANK. DID NOT USE STD BANK CARD FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. TRIED TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT 2 X BY PHONING 0861201000 AND GOING TO THE BRANCH WITHOUT SUCCESS AS I OWED THEM R13-69 (INTEREST ON AN INACTIVE ACCOUNT!) WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE DEDUCTED ON 01/10/2013 AND THEN CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. AN AMOUNT OF R213-69 WAS DEDUCTED (R200 SERVICE FEE). COMPLAINED VIA FACEBOOK. LATOYA PHONED ME ON 02/10/2013 AND PROMISED THAT THE MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED WITHIN 48 HOURS. 08/10/2013 AND EVERY DAY SINCE SENT A COMPLAINT WITHOUT RESPONSE OR A REFUND! NO WRITTEN CONFIRMATION OF ANY FACTS FROM STD BANK.
