Nasty Experience Because Of Disgraceful Service

I experienced pathetic service at Standard Bank, Trade Route Mall today. I urgently needed to cash my own cheque but was made to wait over 40 minutes without being serviced. The consultant, Miss Zealand who was more interested in training her apprentice claimed her manager needed to do an authorisation. I don't understand why they needed to authorise my "OWN" cheque but I still waited patiently. She served other clients while I waited and eventually when I confronted her, she kept going to the back and returning with different stories. I even told her I was prepared to use my card to make a withdrawal if she could not service my cheque in a timely manner. Eventually I walked out, leaving my "CASH" cheque behind and drove to the Southgate branch where I was able to withdraw the cash using my card in less than 5 minutes. Thereafter, the manager and team leader of the Trade Route branch kept phoning me asking me to collect the cash even though I successfully withdrew elsewhere. If someone uses the cheque I left behind I will hold them responsible. I believe I deserve an apology for such incompetence and Standard Bank needs to look at overhauling their staff in that disgraceful branch.
