Eighteen working days and yet no credit card

I have been a loyal FNB customer for more than 12 months and I made an application for a credit card on the 4th of January 2012 after hearing about FNB's 8 day turnaround time. After 3 days I was asked to submit two more payslips which I promptly did. After another three days I phoned in and was diverted to the new cards service line. The line is not toll free and I waited nearly 20 mins to speak to a consultant. After resubmitting my payslips as per the consultants advice I had to wait another week of zero communication only to find out (after phoning the ridiculous service line for 20 mins) that I once again had to submit the payslips. After calling the call center again I was told by a consultant that they had escalated the matter, again, and that they would call me back by 12pm the following day. They did not call me back. It has now been more than 18 working days with absolutely no outcome other than an empty promise. I am very dissatisfied after being with FNB for more than a year trouble-free.
