We bought a tablet through Standard Bank credit card the end of Feb 2013. However, the day we received it, we decided that it was not what we wanted and made arrangements to return it the following day. After collections the money was transferred back to my acc. In July 2013 we realised that we are paying for the tablet even though it was returned.
On the 11th of July I informed my local branch. Rosa, whom I dealt with was very helpful. We spoke to card division who told us that although the money was transferred, there is still a budget on my acc. This will be rectified within 4 to 5 working days. Two weeks later, still no result. Been back to my branch, phoned again. They will look into it. It will now take 40 working hours. Needless to say it was not resolved in this time
I lodged a complaint in July. Received an email in Aug, stating that it is an IT problem and they will keep me posted. I had no communications from the complaints nor the card division. I have lodged another complaint on 13 Sept Ref 55045272 and had no contact from anyone. I am so displeased with the lack of communication and incompetence of staff. I'm surely taking my business somewhere else!
