I received an email today notifying me of changes in my policy and an updated policy document, when I checked it I noticed an increase in my excess from R0 to R3300, I immediately called the customer care to find out why was that. And I was told that because of the multiple number of claims that they were getting, MiWay has decided to increase all the excess from R0 to R3300, and if I want to take it back to R0 I will have to pay more. This is highly unprofessional has it was never communicated to me in advance. And when taking up the policy my premium was high because of the R0 excess now they increase the excess without decreasing my premium and want me to pay more to get it back to R0. I have been with my ways since Feb this year and have never claimed but now I have to pay more because other customers with R0 excess claims a lot.
And they pretend to be doing things my way while this proves that they do things their way and make changes without advising their customers.
