I am a professional women that took out cover for severe illness. I was informed by my broker that should I be diagnosed with cancer my severe illness benefit will pay out. Now the claim was declined because my serious spreading maligna melanoma cancer has not spread into my tissue. What is my consumer rights as my broker has never explained this detail to me about the stages it must reach before payout. Consumers please note that your money is good enough when you take out a policy but when it comes to the claim then old mutual is looking for all kinds of excuses that they never explained to you when you purchase the policy. I have a vast portfolio of R15 000.00 per month with them. I wonder if I die If my family will be dealing with the same issues?? Can someone contact me with regards to my rights as a consumer in this regards? 0837533019
