Oneplan Health Insurance
Apparently it was not an emergency

So on Saturday morning at 2am I get rushed to hospital by my son in law, I had a fever of 39.6 and I could not move and I was in severe pain. I go to Olivedale Hospital ER. They put me on a drip with pain medication and something to bring my fever down. When leaving the hospital at around 6am I had to pay about R2000 as ONEPLAN rejected the claim... I called them this morning (Monday 16 September) to ask why the claim was rejected only to be told that this was not an emergency and could have waited for the morning. REALLY??? with a fever of 39.6 and not been able to move, I could have waited for the morning... Like they know the pain that I was in. I have been with OnePlan for 1.5 years and NEVER once claimed apart from now. I am shocked and totally disgusted with this medical aid and find it very hard to swallow that they think this was not an emergency. I am almost speechless. This is a total rip off.
