I visited Fnb Hillcrest on 17/01/13, dealt with Lucky and Caroline. Caroline was extremely rude and unhelpful I wanted to close my account, was advised i cant due to an amount of R12 not cleared. I was advised by Caroline that i wont get charged any fees when closing as my service fees had been taken off on the 10/01/13. I was told i cud call the branch and speak to Lucky to tell me once the amount had cleared. I called on Thurs, Frid and Mon, i left messages and to date have not got one call back. I went to the branch today and got charged R45 for account service fees. This is unacceptable. Bank staff should know the procedures and should offer service. They should not be rude to us just because we want to close our accounts. They didn even try to persuade me to stay, they obviously dont have faith in their own bank. absolutely appalling, i shall be reporting them to the Ombudsman shortly as well
