Not informed when financial adviser had changed

I bought some products from Sanlam via their financial advisers and when this adviser resigned i was not informed until such time that i had made several unsuccessful request to him via email. I was then assigned a new adviser. It has come to my attention that this new adviser is no longer with Sanlam and yet I was not informed of this change and now when I try to access information relating to my products I am unable because these persons are no longer there and in order to get help i must give consent for a person from some company called Astute authorization to access my personal information and the form i was sent to fill out says nothing about this person only accessing the information I request but it talks about them giving me financial advice. Does the law permit a service provider to treat policy holders this way? I am worried as I have some long term products with them and if this is the service I am to look forward to then it will cause me a great deal of stress to have to deal with such irregular customer service policies. How then do I know if this is not to ultimately oust me of my investments?
