Information to third party without consent

I have a Retirement Annuity with Sanlam that is maturing in July'2013. Sanlam informed me about this and sent me the necessary documentation to complete to inform Sanlam about what I wished to do about the policy. However on 06-June-2013 I receive an e-mail from a third party "Winslow & Associates CC" informing me that "Sanlam has requested me to advise you that your RA ..." is maturing, including policy number and total amount of proceeds. Sanlam had no authority to give my confidential information to a third party without my consent. How can Sanlam condone this? Need urgent answers.
