Paying for but not receiving benefits

I have a platinum cheque and credit card (medical professionals account) which I pay almost R200 per month in bank fees, when I opened the accounts I was under the impression that I would receive platinum benefits such as a 2.5% pay back in eBucks on my credit card account... I do not receive that benefit and only receive 1% pay back on my spend per month (which s the same as the gold card which is considerably cheaper/ month in bank fees) I have emailed the credit card division but have not received a reply. If there are no benefits for me paying more per month for a platinum card then I would like to downgrade to a gold account! Is this the way the platinum card works or am I missing out?!
