No response to to emails re overlimit charge

Having picked up an 'over-limit' charge on my credit card statement I emailed a query to [Email Removed] on both the 14th and 24th of August. It is now OVER weeks later and I have not had the courtesy of a reply.
A VERY long phone call this morning (for which I am going to be charged) revealed that two late deductions from two merchants (these deductions made on the same day as an sms indicated that I HAD A POSITIVE BALANCE) had pushed my card account over the limit.
Why should it be necessary for me to spend time and money chasing this query when a response from FNB could have sorted out this matter?
It is also disturbing that one can make a purchase in good faith, under the impression that one has sufficient funds, and then have to pay a R203.00 over limit charge through no fault of the FNB customer concerned.
